Hi, I'm Holly

A math tutor from Hoxton Park.

My Tutoring Approach

Believing in your kid success

All along my 7-year tuition, I have had excellent students, and have delighted in the experience of constantly studying new strategies of working with a subject matter to make it interesting and cool for the person I teach.

The way I teach

The mentor ideology of mine is focused on a student: my target is always to make an encouraging, exciting and friendly environment for discovering how to develop.
I react immediately to the needs of each and every child I tutor, building my teaching technique in the way that it fully complies with their temperament and skills.

I also think that students understand better if they're doing practical things associated with their studies. This speaks of making rhymes, student presentations, drawing pictures, writing tasks, using games, and other formats of interaction, that makes children active and excited when it comes to the object.

I teach efficiently and accurately, rapidly figuring out areas for upgrading, later using basic pattern spotting strategies (in case it is appropriate). I prioritise making easy activities for the child produce their particular sense of the theme. It is a true joy to learn new and interesting approaches of coming up with the topic for it to be interesting and always fresh for both sides.

Feelings, emotions and tutoring mathematics

With the help of patience, encouragement, and humour, I always do my best to teach my students that they are capable of much more than they know.
I consider that my desire to adapt teaching approaches in compliance with the requirements of scholars, subject matter, and student demographics are all crucial for my ability to be successful as a teacher.
My teaching is based on the trust that the only way to learn maths is to do mathematics. Although the process of reading proofs and examples in textbooks and from lecture notes is worthy, the true understanding comes through solving mathematical problems, either computational, theoretical, or both.
I have also found that creating assignments which have a direct relation to the student's personal life can help with their learning the topic and understanding its application.
